Lyrics

Team Barry or Team Browne? I absolutely LOVE Tim Kurkjian but that came way out of left field :) Thanks, Tim.
And thanks to Hampton - who already parodied this song - for giving me his blessing to do it again.

Lyrics:
I believe Tim Kurkjian is a smart man.
He's the one I go to for baseball news.
Knows all the players and he's loved by all.
He has the knack to find the best story lines
Let's the people laugh at him like when he got smoked in that sausage race.

It was not that long ago when I discovered he loves avocados
That was weird, but nice to know
At least he's like your average Joe.
No matter what he says, Tony,
There's never been question of his dignity.
Until the strangest stance of all
Tim subscribes to the weirdest creed.

The strangest stance of all
It's not normal to conceive.
Comparing Barry to Browne?
It was the strangest stance of all.
I believe Tim Kurkjian might be slipping...

*A parody of "Greatest Love of All" by the late, great Whitney Houston.

This is very well done and sounds great. Maybe Tim is trying to fill the void at ESPN for this type of crossover comparison since Simmons left. Also - children are a nuisance and I thank Hampton for being the one to put it in a song.

first thing: i think the first line of Hampton's song is "I believe that children are a nuisance," and it still absolutely make me laugh convulsively. second, this is fantastic. i STILL can't even begin to understand the point of comparing musicians and basketball players. but this is a wonderful combo of a tribute and a dig at Timmy, and very funny.

Jackson Brown has more in common with Fred "Re-run" Barry from What's Happinin' than Rick Barry. Never mind Bill Berry from R.E.M. Sounds great, Kj!
