Lyrics

If a missing glove is worth a call to Michael then surely it is worth a jingle. I just wish a song about having only one glove could be by Michael Jackson but I had to go where the muse took me.

For a while, two gloves was all you knew
You were sure you had both one and two,
By design its true
You had both of them with you

Somethin' happened along the way
Suddenly Tony was sad
Somethin' happened along the way
And just one glove was all you had

And oh, after the glove has gone
Did you check for it on the ground?
Did you leave the other one on?
Oh Oh Oh, after the glove has gone
Get Michael on the phone
Can a glove that's lost be found?

Marshall McLuhan just stopped by to tell me that Robert Berg knows nothing about the films of Woody Allen.

You'll have to take it up with Woody Allen about the gym teacher crack, KJ. Brad and I memorized all the jokes from Annie Hall in that basement. Brad refused to do his homework because "the universe is expanding."

This jingle made me laugh too. John, so as not to be in the doghouse, I'm gonna have to disagree with your gym teacher statement. But I definitely agree with the anthropology teacher statement!

I would comment here but I'm not a teacher or a do'er. (This jingle made me laugh though)

My gym reference was, in fact, to the long lost "Saturday night mixer" held there with a DJ and teens made nervous when slow jams like this were played. But it is also true that Brad and I grew up in each other's basements (or nearly so) which is where I learned that those who can do; those who can't, teach; those who can't teach, teach gym; and those who CAN do AND teach, teach anthropology. And sing jingles.

Yes, every anthropology prof starts with gym. It's the apprenticeship demanded by the guild. I don't mean to reveal too many secrets but John and I are, in fact, almost exactly the same age.
