Lyrics

This is the rare-edition appendix-free version. . .

An only born child so he can’t stand to wait
And feels he’s entitled to take what he takes
You ask “How can this be?”, but he asks ‘Where’s the cake?”

A one percent schnorer is hard to believe
A one percent schnorer is hard to believe

From gas grills to Caddies it’s straight cash homey
And hopes to some day buy a doctoral degree
Bet you’ve probably heard he gets sandwiches free

A one percent schnorer if there’s such a thing
A one percent schnorer if there’s such a thing

Quite content at the Post til ESPN hired
Priced himself out of the market, and says he was fired!
Didn’t he once call Jack Kent Cooke “the Squire”?

A one percent schnorer has some kind of nerve
A one percent schnorer has some kind of nerve

So so good! The refrain keeps going through my head. I consider that a good thing.

Summer school is in session and the Professor is showing how it is done! Too many great lines to pick a fave. But these have to be among the snarkiest three lines in your canon: "From gas grills to Caddies it’s straight cash homey And hopes to some day buy a doctoral degree Bet you’ve probably heard he gets sandwiches free" Love it!

Perfect twist on this song, and sounds great. Plus - clinical proof that no amount of our species' sense of humor resides within the appendix. (Very glad you are back in prime jingling shape.)
