Lyrics

Thanks again to Jason for providing the good parts, the rest is just me slapping a routine grounder to the shortstop. I struggled with this one but still loved ripping up some vocal chords trying to get it right. A parody of the Kinks "Well Respected Man"

Lyrics:

Tony gets up in the morning
He’s confused but still alive
It’s 4a.m. at the Mayflower
2' on the ground outside
And he's sending a text to Nigel
Not gonna make it out to Rockville Pike

And he’s oh so old
And he’s cranky all the time
And he’s making calls to Pepco
And sending Cliffies out to pump his tires
He’s a well respected former writer
But now he sleeps in a hotel near L street

Though he never won the Pulitzer
He has his own salute
And He’s played golf with Potus
So you can suck on that, Raju
We don’t know if he’ll be in on Monday
Or Tuesday and Wednesday too,

Cause it’s oh so cold,
And he’s scared to drive
And where the $#&* is Wilbon
Fled to Chicago just in time
He’s a well respected former writer
But now he’s dressed like a turkey on TV...

By the way, new Moffett/Loyal Little coming in late July. A masculine child. Kind of an odd way to make this kind of announcement but it's always fun to hear something new on TK Jingles!

Echoing KJ's words. This is great, and it's very well performed. Jealous of the song choice. Great tune.

This is no joke: This morning while I was walking my dogs I was thinking "when will we hear from Patrick again?" and boom. No joke. Wow, did you deliver! This is so great. And I absolutely think an orange fellow in the 20015 will here it just as soon as Rockville Pike is cleared.

Love a Patrick Moffett jingle, and double good when it's the Kinks! "Where the @#$% is Wilbon", is right! Great stuff
