Lyrics

Stupid radio show
what’s the weather in Tony’s zip code?
Straight cash, for selling windows

How stupid is this show?
Allow me to illustrate
He spent a whole segment on his bank’s interest rate
Tony, we still love you though I can’t explain why
Guess you’re doing something right

Oh, stupid how stupid am I?
to write all these songs for this guy
I’ve wasted the best years of my life

Oh, stupid radio show
Now it’s time for Jerry to go...

A parody of Sam Cooke, "Cupid"

I wasn't going for a Sam Cooke impression here (there was only one Sam Cooke) but that "why" was definitely a nod to his stylistic nuances. Fun fact: I first heard this song sung by a homeless guy on the El in Chicago before I ever heard the real thing. That's still the definitive version in my mind. :)
