Lyrics

So this one happened like this: Robert sends out an email to Jason and I yesterday, saying something like "News, Hour 2, Beastie Boys, 'Sabotage', monkey sound effects." So Jason and I of course respond immediately that we are in without actually listening to the show yet. A couple hours later we all jointly decide not to follow through with it because of other stuff we have going on and the likely one-day shelf life of this. And then 10 minutes after that, I send them the first 8 lines of this, and everyone's back in. Later last night, right as we are getting ready to record, Robert's google machine gets sabotaged. We can only guess at the culprit.

If it's worth it, I may update this one later with my parts re-recorded where I can get better acoustics and with Robert's vocals back in this.

That cute tamarin, you know he planned it
They’re trying to create Planet of the Apes
And in a blackout we will be so blind
The revolution won’t be televised
So while you sit back safe in your corner
He cuts the blue wire to the transformer
Oh my god, get that macaque
I’m tellin’ y’all it’s sabotage

Chimps finance the revolution through arbitrage
The marmosets have a podcast and blog
The capuchins are hiding in your garage
And pointing at the racks of all the broads

So, ask the baboons and they won’t say nothin’
But their intentions are for destruction
They’ll try to steal the nuke launch codes
And expunge the human race from the globe
So when you see that hairy security guard
With blood-stained uniform, short for his arms
That’s just a vervet in camouflage
I’m trying to tell you now it’s sabotage

I read something recently where they called themselves the best fake rappers - or "frappers" - since they didn't consider themselves real rappers. So I'll say I am a pretty decent fake frapper... which I guess would be Ffrapper... ok nvm.
