Lyrics

For Chef Mark Murray and his great appearance on Cutthroat Kitchen. I had never watched that show before, but tuned in to see another Little compete... and promptly be the first one eliminated. (He was actually pretty great on TV, and I definitely could see him doing more stuff like that.) He mentioned on Twitter about maybe getting a jingle out of it, and I hadn't seen one posted yet, so I came up with this today. Be careful what you ask for around here I guess. We kid cuz we love. :)

Well, I'm no epicure I admit
But there's one thing I know for sure
Snow shovels are used to dig and hit
But as woks they're pretty poor
I've done my share of digging out
And a few skiers I have brained
But I have never seen a man
Try to use a spade to braise

You cooked that pho in a shovel
You ain't on that show no more
I'd just sat down and found the channel
And you were walkin' out the door
We all tuned in to see you win
But we got noodles on the floor
If you hadn't cooked that pho in a shovel
You might've been on past 10:04.

Honestly... It just took me this long to find out that someone did a jingle for me... I laughed so hard... I'm flattered.. 10:04! Lol.. You all know I was on an episode of chopped and was out the first round too? Third time is a charm!

I really am sorry I missed Mark's appearance but I gotta try this show at least once. cooking in a shovel is just...well I can't even make eggs so the shovel thing seems awfully difficult to me.

Awesome, Jason! I too had never seen the show but tuned in only to see a fellow Little. I thought he was really great on TV too.

Hilarious. I DVRed this to watch a Little on TV. Song perfectly describes the brief appearance.

Also, my significant other and my 10 year old daughter are hooked on a number of cooking shows. I always run out of any room when they come on. I did proudly announce to them that a person like me (a TK LITTLE) would be on one of the shows on Sunday, and with all of the snow and activities that were happening over the weekend, no one watched. But they DVR all of them, so they probably will catch up. I did give them Chef Mark's fate last night, though....

Man I was just listening to this song (One of those classic country music collection half-hour commercials on some cable channel) and I was pondering lyrics (as I do with pretty much every song, anymore)...I swear it was within the last 7 days. I could never top this.....

I cannot thank you enough for your proper pronunciation of "pho". Yes! Also, some of my favorite parts of your always musically engaging work are the explanatory paragraphs. Some day we'll have the collected annotated works of Jason Fuse. Well done.
