Acapella fans may remember that the Nylons made "Kiss Him Goodbye (Na Na, Hey Hey)" a hit in the early '80s but the original acapella rendition was by the Belmonts in ~1970. Their "Cigars, Acapella, Candy" album is one of the great acapella albums of all time and one of the driving forces that got me into music back in high school. Dion is my idol and his departure from the Belmonts launched an incredible solo career -- but the Belmonts proved they weren't just a backup group with C,A,C. The TK-specific arrangement presented here is part Belmonts, part Nylons, and part original and features 29 distinct voices in the final mix. This is one of the least jokey mailbag jingles I've done so hopefully it doesn't come across as TOO self indulgent! Blah blah blah.
