Songs That We Sing For Porthauser
Lyrics
I don't think there's a jingler among us who can't relate to this one. As we get ready for TKJ Even Liver, this one is Even Germaner. I'm gonna sound like a broken record here but huge props are due to The Talented Mr. Fuse for adding to my ukulele with a beautiful guitar and smooth shaker on this one.
Lyrics:
On a lark, on a whim
He grabbed a pen & some paper, began writin' in his kitchen.
Built a website, he was stoked.
It did not take very long for the Littles to join in with more jokes.
Now here we are, years removed.
And we're still singing 'bout bathrobes, bald golfers, whose mother's a prostitute?
And the songs that we sing for Porthauser are stuck in my head.
Like "Black Coffee in Bed" "Yakkin' on ESPN"
And I'll never hear Desperado the same way again
Without thinking of him, oh Timmy Kirkjian.
Now 'Apeman' belongs to Fitzpatrick, no longer the Kinks.
And please tell me why we're still jingling for this show that stinks!
And the songs that we sing for Porthauser are stuck in my mind
Like "The Metro's Purple Line," "I Will Transcribe"
And it's lyrics like "Uranus is famous" I'm bellowing out,
horrifying my spouse.
At least I got the house.
