Lyrics

I just could not get up over the last note in the pre-chorus, which is why it sounds weird. Had to mix it in a way that sorta hid that part. I wish I could just borrow Joe's voice for tactical strikes like that one.

Also, I'm such a hypocrite because I did not know the difference between a dependent clause and a prepositional phrase, and I'm an English major mocking someone writing radio copy for an auto dealership. Oh well...

“This truck is mine.”
Word choice is right
If it’s proximal
In space or time
I'm telling you
Just how to wield
A prepositional phrase
With proficient skill
Come on, come on,
Proofread
Revise...

I'm giving you
On a count of 3
Ads must improve
Dramatically
Read them aloud
How does it sound?
Does it trip the tongue?
Does it mush the mouth?

Well it’s probably fine for Sheehan
And Andy Polley too
But my friend, I went to Harpur
This drivel, I eschew

This copy’s bad - it’s bad - come on
Syntax is bad - it’s bad - you know it
Grammar is bad, It’s bad - come on, you know
Jim Coleman has to
Answer right now
Just to tell us once again

I'm so glad you went for the "Shamons" - great job! And the Andy Polley sound bite was a really nice touch.

You've done it again - love the spoken word subconscious ID talking right over the music. Great closing rant spelled out as *Rant* in the lyrics. Who write the copy for THOSE things?
