Lyrics

Your day breaks, your hand shakes
You got the word that Tony can’t go on
His voice is gone.
He just can’t make it

He’s woked up, he’s choked up
You check the time. He don't feel well, things look blurry !
He can’t make the broadcast

And in his chair you see nothing
No orange face behind the beard
Call for Gary
He hadn’t pulled this stunt for years

You want him, you need him
And yet you don't believe him when he said his cell phone’s dead
You just might kill him

And in his chair you see nothing
No orange face behind the beard
Call for Gary
He hadn’t pulled this stunt for years

Jerry suggested on the last that we have a common theme for a Jingle event this fits in co,pletely with my sgt Pepper fantaswy - All songs are assigned yo individual Jongleurs for satirical purposes, they each bring back a finished project or at least out;line . . . couple words on a cocktail napkin and we have a Jingle Event: Mr. Tony's Phony Wagon Band.

PJNO (Prime Jingler Number One) - LOVE the Sgt. Peppers idea/song. I play guitar, bass and even have a Beatle bass. Lemme know when and where. Looks like Jerry is a made man.

Well, we shan't kill him then. Then this alternative - we get the band together again (like a repeating Jingle Event) - we get together ("pile upon your brother now")[I really can't stop] brainstorm a few of these jingles, decide if we we want to record them ourselves, as a band, if he's still alive Jerry as front man, plug in (do any of you guys play?), and submit under the sobriquet: THE WAGON BAND First nominated project for me [since it has been almost twenty years absence for me] would be localization of the first ten minutes of "Sgt. Pepper" : It was twenty years ago this week When the littles were allowed to speak They've been going on for quite a while And they're guaranteed to choke your bile So may I introduce to you the Act you've ducked for all these years: Mister Tony's Phony Wagon Band ======== What would you do if i I sang out of tune Would you ban me 'cause --- after that I don't know....................... Now THAT would be a collaboration.

it's like riding a bike I guess. unless he's been secretly writing and recording these things for no reason it has to be a looooooong layoff between TCA parodies, but these jingles are right up to speed immediately. as an aside we shouldn't kill Jerry. practically, someone has to keep the website going and record the prodcast and maybe coordinate another jingle event.

Ha! I like to think of us as co-conspirators here rather than competitors. However, if you are putting out a contract on Jerry, um... what does it pay? And Jerry, remember... we kid because we love!

Your comments inspire me and salve me. Technology has progressed since the olden days, when I used to sing live into a cordless phone strapped to my head while I played guitar accompaniment and only guessed at the mix. "Prime Jingler" feels good, but to be competitive in the current conversation, I think I would have to have Jerry killed.

So cool man. Really enjoyed this - the writing is well done and has a different slant that I like a whole bunch.
