Lyrics

Ken posted this on the Ideas page, and I think the idea of Tony wanting to have lunch with Aaron Sorkin primarily so he can tighten up his scripts is really funny. Setting it to "The Impossible Dream" also seems very fitting. Great idea and lyrics Ken!

To eat the impossible lunch,
To meet the unreachable star,
To hope with unsinkable chutzpah,
To beg, if I must go that far.

To praise his unique way with words,
To show I ain't just chopped liver,
To explain how the Pulitzer board screwed me,
To say, "I still need you on my wall."

This is my quest.
To meet Aaron Sorkin.
No matter how often
He refuses my calls.

To dine for one night
With the writerly czar
I'd be willing to fly to his...
...let's not go that far.

And I know if he'd only say yes
To one Palm repast
That his scripts would be leaner and tight
Not a jabberfest.

And my life, would be ever so blessed,
To meet this man, applauded and lauded by all.
So I'll try once more, with my dignity ebbing,
"Dammit, Aaron, won't you please take my call?"

Parody of "The Impossible Dream" from Man of La Mancha

Thanks everyone, much appreciated! I've only recently discovered the fun of singing these due to doing jingles, as my musical past is primarily me playing in rock bands. I just tried to ham it up Broadway style best I could. I bet it wouldn't take much at this point to finish up a fake musical from all the already existing Broadway jingles.

Wow, this week TK's Thursday show is just going to be Judofuse jingles. Any chance you were in this show sometime in your storied past, Jason? This cannot be the first time you have sung this song.
