Lyrics

Another entry in the exploration of 70's TV. From the great Bill Barto

Gary and the Math / Chico and the Man

Gary, don’t be discouraged,
The Math it ain’t so hard to understand
Gary, if you try now
I know that you can calculate a plan.

If you’re no good at subtraction,
then try multiplication
You can divide and get the sum if you try.

And I know, things will add up better
Oh yes they will for Gary and the Math
Yes they will for Gary and the Math

Watched re-runs of this show, never saw it in first-run...But I do remember that theme. Very nice!

Looks like it had a short generic music bumper with people from the show yelling over it. Not sure if it was ever any more than that.

Nice! Maybe it combines those two - something like "...on the snack foods" ? Such a cool song that screams 1970s.

Man, this is really cool. Great vocal by John's cousin. I hope there's more 70s TV collaborations coming. I'd totally love to hear some lyrics for the instrumental Starsky and Hutch theme, or a Baretta jingle...Sammy Davis Jr style.
