    Prince was my favorite musician from the time my mom bought me 1999 on cassette. I knew that after Delirious things took a nasty turn on that album, and as we were listening to it in the car I warned her we should stop as the opening kick/snare of Let's Pretend We're Married began. I think she was horrified that she had bought this filth for her son. But she loved Prince too. I never asked her what she was thinking. Just seemed best to let it lie.

    i know...my memory is not what it used to be. i had the thought "i should do a cheers song." without remembering that one of my favorite jingles was "that's it, I'm boiling eggs." how could i have forgotten that?
