Lyrics

Sitting here on Rockville Pike
Looking through a bag of mail
The Littles' gifts are piling up
It's looking like a rummage sale

Closing down for the summer
we've got to get rid of everything we can
We can eat all the Sky Bars
but we're stuck with these Hitler stamps

These are the last words I have to say
until next Labor Day goes by
There will be other words some other day
but I'll save those for PTI

A parody of Billy Joel, "Famous Last Words"

I missed this first time around - very well done. And your initial comment on here from nearly 2 years ago is so great to go back and read now. Yeah, ultimately I *think* it all worked out. :)

I've since learned that Josh Cromwell ALSO pitched this idea and recorded it around the same time. As with everything Josh has done, it's great, so it will be included in Nigel's Rubbish Bin!

This was the first "jingle" I ever contemplated writing. I wrote Nigel pretty early on (April 2013?) asking if they'd entertain the idea and never got a response. Let that be a lesson to just go ahead and follow your instincts. Nigel is either too busy or aloof so he'll rarely answer my e-mail. I thought it was a good idea, though, so I recorded it anyway and ultimately I think it worked out!
