Lyrics

Yeah, that's right, whistling....what about it?

"(Listenin' On) The Podcast Delay"

Sittin’ here twiddling my thumbs
I'll be listenin’ when the podcast comes
Heard the scores on ESPN
Then hear Kevin give them all again, yeah

I'm listenin' on the podcast delay
What’s the point, this news ain’t today
I'm just listening on the podcast delay
Wastin' time

I left my home in Arlington
Headed for the office today
I get on the bus then the metro
Same way I go to work each day

So, I'm just gonna try to stream the show today
Catch the mailbag anyway
Got them emails faxes and notes
It's readin' time....

[Fades to whistling]

The amusing thing to me about that trip would be all the places in between. Can you imagine Otis Redding in Denver? Or Boise?

It raises important questions: since it looked like noting was going to come his way, did he skip lunch? What route did take those 2000 mile to make that dock his home? Since the dock was his home, was Georgia his office, making his the tale of a reverse commute? So many mysteries.....Behind the Music, where are you when we need you?

I guess when Otis sang "I left my home is Georgia, headed for the Frisco Bay" he forgot to tell us what he had for lunch. Very, very nice.
