Deer on the Lawn
Lyrics
My very first Jingle performance. Thanks to all the fantastic TK Jinglers for your inspiration, especially to Jerry for his tutorial, graciously dumbing the process down to my level.
Like a deer on the lawn
Like a comb for Michael Wilbon
I've been waiting for the Podcast from Tony
He will whine and he'll moan
But as bad as Bob Ryan's phone
Oh, I long for his complaining to me.
But sometimes I think, maybe he misses us too,
When he wants a sammich, or to stick a fork in Raju.
So I wrote this jingle for his mailbag.
Maybe he'll sticker me, or send me some swag.
Jeanne and Gary, where do they go?
Is Nigel ruining some other show?
Does Scott Linn do the news for Andy Polley?
Where are Liz and Torie Clarke?
Have you ever found a free place to park?
Is Kip Sheeman laughing through a eulogy?
I saw James Carville picking LSU over Tulane.
He said, "Here's mah penis, let me get on that plane!"
And then online, I saw the Goddess Courtney,
In the throes of passion, screaming "La Cheeserie!"
Like a deer on the lawn,
Like a comb for Michael Wilbon,
I've been waiting for the Podcast from Tony.
