Lyrics

Because I thought we needed to hear Henry's side of the story. Thanks to KJ and Jason for feedback. I never know if I'm going too far with these things.

Long live David Hasselhoff.

One morning on Sunday
A few weeks ago
I was bound by a matrimonial knot
Years had gone by with no joy in my life
but then Beatrice popped her clogs

Now I’m working for Sheehan
I've been looking at clouds
I've been working for Sheehan
Since I buried my spouse
I've been working for Sheehan
And prowling bingo halls
I've been working for Sheehan
And bagging hens in shawls

“I want to watch a show”
Saturdays would always go
Something starring Cary Grant
As we ate our dinner
I’d glare at her, embittered
She knew that I hated eggplant
Beatrice said: "Eat your vegetables, Hank
The fiber will soften your stool”
I swear that this is true, thought
“I can’t stand this nagging shrew
I hope the morrow, reaps her soul”

Now I’m working for Sheehan
tracking precipitation
I've been working for Sheehan, and
learning to sext my junk
I've been working for Sheehan, and
treating a scrotal rash
I've been working for Sheehan
And smoking lots of hash

Right, because people who come to this site HATE when people go off on ridiculous tangents...

It's funny, I recognized him instantly as Feeney but I never picked up on the John Adams connection. Whereas John Goodman was instantly recognizable in Big River. Seems like we need a messageboard feature on this site or some other mechanism to stop polluting these comment sections w/ sidebars. :)

The voice of Kitt was William Daniels...also known as Mr. Feeney from Boy Meets World and John Adams in the original Broadway and film productions of the musical 1776.

This idea is crazy and I love it. So many funny lines, great angle. I looked up Knight Rider to get the name of the actor who did the voice for Kitt, because I know his face and can't ever get his name right... and discovered something even better in that show: There was a recurring character named Reginald Cornelius III - who of course is listed in the credits as being called... "RC3"

He'll always just be Michael Knight to me. And he's not even the star of that show! Go Kit.

Albums plural, Kj. This is international superstar David Frickin Hasselhoff you're talking about!

Steve, those are the same lines I mentioned to Rob as possible "off the rails" lines. But so great. Way to go, Rob! And I seriously had no idea The Hoff had an album. None.

This is fantastic. And probably too far. And thank you, too Jerry. These Hoff reviews are almost as good as the Haribo sugar free gummy bears.

Start at the beginning if you can. The sincerity of the early reviews is what makes the sarcastic ones especially fun

This really goes off the rails in a delicious way. I can't pick a favorite line among hens in shawls, sext my junk and scrotal rash. And now I have endless Amazon reviews to plow though. Thanks Obama.

It's a 15 year old joke but I encourage you to seek out the reviews on Amazon of "Looking For- The Best of David Hasselhoff" if they still exist. Thousands of tear-inducing parody reviews inspired by one genuine guy with extremely poor taste who reviewed the album & commented that "Track 6, Hot Shot City, is particularly good." It spawned something akin to The Aristocrats joke with every reviewer giving a scathing, sarcastic review and then politely ending the critique with the non sequitur comment about Track 6. I've spent hours on Amazon reading those reviews.... :/
