Lyrics

I can't tell whether I like this one or not. Seems like maybe it needs BGVs to punch it up.

Beatrice, Beatrice
Those Nimbus clouds are finally here
Beatrice, Beatrice
Is that weather-watcher metaphor clear?
With a downburst in my eyes
And a dry slot in my heart
Jeanne, did I forecast her demise?
Beatrice, Beatrice
Pretty soon you’ll putrefy
Beatrice, you’re barely cold, but
Some of your reports sent me awry
Beatrice, I don’t blame you
Maybe it was your lazy eye
Henry spent the funds we bestowed
On Chilean hookers and coke
His smile is surely hiding tears
Beatrice, Beatrice

This is amazing start to finish. Agree with Jason - I'm surprised they didn't react more to the downburst/dry slot combo.

Awesome. I first heard this on Friday's show... They shoulda laughed a lot more at downburst in my eyes, dry slot in my heart. Whispering is a great touch too.

My dog's name is Nimbus (after the cloud class) and seeing that used as a jingle lyric makes me smile. Beatrice went too soon but that is what happens when the body stagnates in a prolonged weather watching marathon. The neck, head, and eyes become frozen in an awkward tilt hoping to see the first dancing flake fall from a hostile winter sky. On this occasion that first flake fell softly, landing like a skilled skydiver right between her eyes. The flake did not melt, it just sat still for a moment on her cold corpse before saying "thank you," and floating off in a gentle winter breeze...Hang in there, Henry!

Omg. Another TIRB Classic. And another Stones song ruined. Love it.

Still laughing third time through Rob. Made me wonder if Satch picks up the tab for Michael's Chilean hooks and coke.
