Lyrics

Now Part 1.5 - with updated lyrics.

Please allow us to introduce ourselves
This is Jason and Rob jingling
We were wondering if you could pass on a question
To Gretchen Wu and Charlie Ng
Ask them if their Professor Boyle
Used to wear a really bad toupee
And prefaced his jokes by saying “Here’s a zinger for ya"
I always wanted to bring in those raspberry cakes

And when our Boyle would say that
I’d surreptitiously fire them at his face, oh yeah
His breath could singe your nose hairs
It was like inhaling a can of mace, oh yeah

Can you tell Gretchen I saw Steph Curry
At the Target over South Park way?
He spent fifteen minutes reading yogurt labels
Ended up buying a crudite
And also a friend of mine worked part time at the Gap
Jim Harbaugh came in one day
He bought a dozen pairs of pants and socks
Pleated khakis, all exactly the same

Hey, you know what’s good for breakfast?
A Nutella and banana crepe
See if Gretchen can translate that into Latin
For my Vatican trip next May

A parody of "Sympathy for the Devil" by The Rolling Stones

This is even better than Part 1.0. I didn't even realize you had updated this yet until now. Agree with Gretchen about the introductions.

I love that you introduce yourselves! There are so many layers to this jingle, it's like Inception.

I find it absolutely great that a jingle based on an email about another email read on a radio show podcast in order for the two separate parties to correspond with one another has ignited an idea for another jingle that is now being researched partially by two people corresponding through the comments of the aforementioned jingle. Wait, did I just blackout for second... where am I.

I agree with KJ, the "Wu Wu"'s are my favorite part. Brilliant.

The first email was from Charlie for my birthday the Monday before Thanksgiving. I can't wait to hear the jingle! I am wholly impressed by the musical talent here!

GRETCHEN! I have to apologize for the lyrics. we were trying to turn this around quickly and I should have spent more time on them. but don't worry, I think Jason and I are going to do more of them so I will try to make the next one better.

The background vocals are the best part! Coincidentally, a student told me today she saw Steph Curry at the theater when she went to see the Good Dinosaur.

it still makes me laugh but I can see why someone might think it's a long way to go for the BGV joke, which is almost the entire purpose of the jingle.

I was all in as soon as Rob mentioned the idea for this. The background vocals from verse 2 to the end are the dumbest thing and make me laugh every time.
