Lyrics

Hewlett, class of 1924
Reunion, don’t know what I’m wearing blue jeans for (five hundred dollars)
I can’t imagine anything that would be better
than bringing Courtney and saying I just met her
What would my high school friends think of me

Reunion, maybe I should go alone
My heart, can barely take Courtney on the radio...

A parody of Eddie Brigati, Felix Cavaliere, Gene Cornish, and Dino Danelli (AKA "The Rascals"), "Groovin'"

Thanks to Jerry, the author/composer/lyricist who led me to this site, This I impressive - though I've got another take on the Young Rascals, if some would collaborate with me on the recording. Why, back in my day we didn't have "recordings," if you wanted to preserve a song, you had to carry a big glass jar, and when you wanted to save it for later, you had to open up the jar, sing into it real fast and then put the top on real fast. But the kids today, you tell them that and they don't believe you.

Thanks, Joe & everyone for the nice feedback. I really enjoyed doing this one, hopefully we get more excuses to do Rascals tunes down the road!

The master jumps at the chance to record EVENT jingles, events that Mr. Tony attends. Nobody does this better.

Love the last line! Every time Courtney is on, it sounds like TK is imagining his career going down like the Hindenburg. I believe TK covered the Hindenburg disaster for the Times..

Beautiful harmonies, great delivery of the "maybe I should go alone." The hesitation is just perfect.

Listing the names of the Rascals is a great touch. That's a funny idea Brad - I hope you and Peaches are working that one out.

NAME those Rascals! Nice! I thought of "Reunited (Don't My Jeans Look Good?"). But we can always use more Rascals.
