Lyrics

When it began
Tony still wrote a column
and I was probably 5 years old

Look at him now
working with Michael Wilbon
and sleeping on a pile of gold

One, one last segment
to end the show
He'll hear from me and he'll hear from you

Tony's mailbag (ba ba ba)
He got your e-mails and your notes (your notes, your notes, your notes)
Tony's mailbag (ba ba ba)
He's gonna read some for you folks

A parody of Neil Diamond, "Sweet Caroline"

I started out my "Neil Diamond Jingle" plan focused on "Cracklin' Rosie" -- but ultimately I figured I'm one of a small handful people that actually likes that song. I was apprehensive to do "Sweet Caroline" because the song has been somewhat ruined for me by people that shout "Ba ba ba" at bars. It irritates me to an irrational degree. Having said that, singing the "Ba ba ba" in this jingle was one of my favorite parts of recording it. So maybe it ain't all that bad!
