Lyrics

The dark middle chapter of the Beatrice trilogy... where we get a peak into the afterlife of a fake person who watches weather for a pretend weatherman in an area miles from where we live. When I say "we", I mean me - I'm not sure where you are from, nor does that have any bearing on our bittersweet tale of an elderly lady who's only desire is to report wind patterns and precipitation amounts, yet now she finds herself at the pearly gates where it's likely 75 and sunny day after day for all eternity. If this were a visual medium I would insert that famous image from the 70's of a Native American crying due to people carelessly polluting our natural resources. Alas, that would have saved you from reading these near 1000 words... Thanks to Rob, Kj and Luke for listening and helping shepherd this idea to it's natural resting place. And thanks to Brad for poking fun at my long winded intro paragraphs, which serves as encouragement to more of my nonsense, as is clearly demonstrated in excess here. Oh yeah, I almost forgot the lyrics:

She watched the wind, for you and me
She'd report in, on rain snow and sleet
Even dead she is more accurate than meteorologists in D.C.
Maybe she'll pull a Lazarus, and straighten out all her colleagues
But inside those pearly gates
It's Orchid weather constantly
The only precip is in her eyes
There's nothing to report for poor Bea
Just a fool to believe she'd note snow amounts to St Peter
She watched the wind...

Agreed...way better than the original. And Brad's not the only one who loves the long intro paragraphs. Great stuff, Jason! A double-down on the Beatrice jingles today - wow.
