Lyrics

Snowmageddon Freakout
Waitin' for the whiteout
On my weekday morning local sports talk radio show
Four feet of snow
What do Chuck Bell and Al Roker know?
Topper Shutt ain't no Kevin Sheehan

And it's none of my concern
I got a pile of flicks to burn
Snowmaggedon Freakout
Snowmaggedon Freakout

Sheehan's beside me
Kevin's there to guide me
Through the difference between the GFS and the European models
The forecast is frightening
But the NAM says it won't start til noon on Friday
I'm gonna sit here and shout til they shovel my bald orange head out

This is great! And while there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to what they choose to play, I think a song or band he hates has just as much chance to air as a song he loves. Just this week they aired my parody of All About That Bass by Meghan Trainor. I did that one because he once said he hated it. Probably not why they chose to air it but you just never know. Just do what you like and keep 'em coming!

ernie, i had that EXACT same song booted up in Word on Wednesday at work but bailed on it to work on the Freshmen song. keep pumping out material. Joe was there at the beginning so it might not have been the same with him, but jason steve and i put out a lot of songs before they knew our names and they gradually began playing more of our stuff. if you keep going you will get there.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. :-) Posted "Hard Snow's A Gonna Fall" as an idea last night - I couldn't quite finish two verses.

Yep, there's no guarantee even doing a jingle based on a song Tony loves will get it aired. Shorter stuff usually has a better chance, but it really is a mystery. I enjoy the rock stuff like this one! Very cool.

ernie, this sounds good to me! who knows...trivia today, maybe snowstorm jingles tomorrow. and joe and steve are right, none of us has any idea how these things get picked. every jingler on here has a great, and i mean GREAT, jingle or 2 or 5, etc. that never made it. we just do what entertains us, send everything, and hope for the best.

There's no rhyme or reason to what gets on the show - I know Tony is no AC/DC fan but he's played a jingle based on one of their songs. Just keep writing what makes you laugh, submit it there and here. The Jinglers will get you good feedback. And nice job rocking on this one by the way.

Glad you like it Joe - so do the jingles generally have to be a song that would be likely to be featured on Old Guy Radio? I feel like I've at least heard a few pop songs in the mix. REO from 1973 is a little "modern" for Tony I guess. :-)

Sent this to Nigel a couple of times and got no response. Posting it here for the enjoyment of the littles. It will cease to be funny after tomorrow.
