Lyrics

There is a house in Washington
where the desk drawers overflow
with old stuff, old batteries and old envelopes
like on that "Hoarders" Show

My mother's old bone china
old paintings up against the walls
My house is filled with stacks of junk
that I don't need at all

Phone books and insurance policies
from back in 1991
There's cups and saucers and sneakers and boots
that don't belong to anyone

Now would someone, please get over here
and haul this junk away
And the only thing I need to know
is how much I've got to pay

Lyrics/Vocals

As always, great job. No matter how many jingles I hear and think it can't be topped, it seems like the next day I am proven wrong. This goes in my top ten.

Nailed it, Joe! I did hear this segment and knew we'd get so many good jingles out of it. What an epic rant by Tony and the jingles are no different.

Puppet on a String is on the all-time gag inducing tunes list. So it could be perfect.

Anita - I was sure you'd suggest Metallica's "Master Of Puppets" for this :)

There's probably not a more humanizing old guy radio section than the one we witnessed yesterday. And now it will live on forever in song. Bravo!

I have started taking notes on "painting farms" and "old insurance policy nests" - Long live the junk jingles!

btw, i failed to mention what a great song choice and title this is. i forgot about the bone china which is probably why i didn't pick it up. i kept focusing on michael.

the problem with the puppet sex jingle, and why it's not going anywhere, is mostly because everything i come up with is just derivative of brad's barry white song. and i don't understand why he thought if you take a painting off the wall and leaned it up against something that it would somehow end up somewhere else. why would he think that? i might have to write another jingle about this.

This sounds amazing... and very funny. The current biggest jingle topic for 2016 may have just tilted from "The Greatest DC Sports Moment" to "Junk in Tony's House." Anita - because nothing has been posted (yet) don't think that there isn't at least one email chain out there this week about jingles involving Ann's puppet love. :)

Brad - speaking of ripe for jingling I can't believe no one picked up on TK's hatred for puppets on Friday's movie review with Ann in hour 1.

As I listened to this segment I thought, "The quintessential version of 'Here's what I have in my pocket'." Ripe for jingling - nailed it, Joe!!

If it weren't for the 3 "Mervis read" instrumentals in here this would be perfect for the show. I still think it has a good shot, though
