Lyrics

Sean Coit provided the lyrics to my first foray into the Gretchen Wu phenomenon. Gretchen, if you're listening, we hope your 11 year old students like this one too.

Hey I’ve got a question
I’m tunin in, need information for life
Like what’s the deal with MacBeth...
...couldn’t follow any lines
What’s your favorite Christmas tune?
How’s the weather outside?

Could you please ask her what’s the deal
With those hover-boards the kids have got, they’re on fire
And could she use new windows ‘cuz I know a guy

Mr. Tony please ask Gretchen Wu
Please ask Gretchen Wu
Please pass along my message to her

Any thoughts on using Steely Dan's "Doctor Wu" for a Gretchen Wu song?

Since I am now a fortune teller... I predict at least several new songs coming soon. I also think you know me enough to realize that there is no such thing as "too far" when it comes to going out of my way in order to continue something that I find entertaining and funny. T-shirts? Yes!

we should make up some Got Wu? t-shirts for the march madness bin. this thought just occurred to me as I was going to comment on the song. this idea, 10 seconds later, seems like maybe I'm taking things too far. but I also loved hearing the GW tunes and will be adding another onto the pile over the weekend.

This is so great. I laughed out loud multiple times while listening at the gym, which made people move away from me. I tried this one on the 13/14 year olds. They looked bored most of the time, but then had a lot of questions about the lyrics and the artists. I count that as a win.
