Stranded (Landed)
Lyrics
He hadn’t forgotten
He’d be on that airplane
But in a way, he wished he had
And we’re all finding now
If he could make it out
Somehow he boarded
And popped all his meds
But no-one ever told him that
He’d only pass out
For just half an hour
And he opened his eyes and freaked out some more
Thought the plane was tumbling down
And it’s “bye-bye, goodbye”, he cried
But he landed in Arizona so bright
And he’s there two weeks alright
But he’s still got one more flight.
What if Tony…is stranded?
So now he’s going
To New York City
To brave the cold, the snow, and the ice
And now Sheehan is telling him that
A big storm might come
And keep him gone
From 20015
Will he open his eyes at home once more
Or is he stuck clear out of town?
Hope it’s not bye-bye, goodbye, we cried.
Will he brave all the cold in his Lillehammer coat?
Or will the old man stay inside.
Will he miss the train that night?
We hope Tony’s….not stranded
A little late to the party, but Tony's fear of flying made me think he'd be stuck out west, and now the snow up north might keep him stuck in NYC.
