Lyrics

Anthony goes to the grocery store
Looking for food on a Sunday
A Little sees him there and walks across the floor
She says, “Tony you took them all away.
All I wanted was brown rice, sea salt, and pepper crack-ack-ack-ack-ackers!”
I should have known by now
That you’d spend time on your favorite snack
And how you get things for no money.
Chorus
It seems such a waste of time
To listen and hear you out
But somehow your Littles still love what you
Talk about
You talk about

We might hear RGIII is missing a beat
And movies you’ve seen with no endings
Will you eat chicken cacciatore before toasting your beef?
Or where you can find some free parking
We hear you all the time plugging your Cadillac-ac-ac-ac-ac-ac
We oughta know by now
If you can golf with a wretched back
And about Marian Barry’s benders
Chorus
Yes it seems such a waste of time
To listen and hear you out
But somehow your Littles still love what you
Talk about
You talk about

And Brad, that might be the most perfect concise definition of exactly what this show is about. I'll have to remember that when trying to explain to my dad why I listen to this old guy two hours a day

I was actually one of the Littles that listened to the espn podcast for about a year and a half cause it was the first option that came up in my podcast app. I was confused as to what the hell the podcast delay was since I got mine shortly after the show ended. It wasn't until recently that I started doing the proper podcast and I can't go back now even though it's always at least a day later. I am now thinking over the course of this year I'm going to try to complete the entire "Glass Houses" album in jingle form. I got two down already!

As I recently said to one of our cohort, the show has ONE joke: "I am a self-absorbed egotist! " Everything else - from Bay Bridges to Triscuits - is just a variation on this theme. A long-winded, meandering, fever-dream of narcissism, long may he kvetch.

And the podcast delay is a calling. Until it ends, the jokes must continue!!

Nothing is inherently funny about Triscuits -- it's just a reference. Kind bars are funny because he's begging for food, the toaster oven is about an old man who can't find his way in the kitchen. I could dedicate whole podcasts to this topic. :) And yet, this tune rocks.

Really? Triscuits are too much, but the podcast delay is a never-ending source of lyrical inspiration? Sheehan laughs at a dead guy 5 or 6 times and we can't stop writing about it?! I say, bring me your Wheat Thins, your Ritzes, your Breton and Vinta! Look at what we've made of a toaster oven! Does anyone remember Kind Bars?! What was this about ? . . . Oh - YOU, sir, are a fine musician!!

Haha I know. They're getting a little crazy with these cracker ones...I tried to branch it out a bit by talking about other stuff, but I felt a little dirty doing it ;-)

My position on Triscuit jokes is well established. But I will make an exception for this one. The lyrics and performance are great!!
