Lyrics

I'd like to imagine Mr Tony's TV agent takes this approach to get him into more shows. Fittingly for the band, this was recorded on 4.20. Thanks KJ, Rob, and Luke for previewing! (I'm stuck in the 90s... send help.)

Early every morning, he's on News Channel 8
And on PTI he's the turban guy, an Emmy holds his toilet paper
You can find a place for him, a place on your TV show
You can find a role for him, a one line cameo
His line fits many occasions, when contextually applied
Just know that he has to say it, it's in his contract rider

First heard his axiom, aimed at boxing on TV
On The Americans, with Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys
I know he's been in movies, where he usually plays himself
Never noticed him until he uttered this shibboleth
He says Aaron Sorkin he wants to meet
But I don't foresee him learning one of his soliloquies
Remember him in Mr 3000 and Creed?
No, you don't! Because these 3 words he didn't speak
Now thanks to some dude he's gonna be in Turn
Better be a scene with Hamilton and Burr
Because he likes it, historically accurate
His aphorism always fits!

His line is, "What a Shot!"
He can remember that
His line is, "What a Shot!"
Producers, don't forget
His line is, "What a shot!"
That's his apothegm
His line is, "What a shot!"
A shot , a shot, a shot, a shot

So great, Jason. I, for one, don't think it's a bad thing to be stuck in the 90's. Aside: last weekend, I was watching MLB Network and Mr. 3000 is on and there was TK. I'd never seen that movie and forgot he was in it. Now, I know what EVERY reference in this jingle means.

Very nice. And I'm glad you made the Hamilton/Burr joke with respect to Turn. It seemed like the joke to make when they first discussed this topic but if they ever got there, I missed it!
