Lyrics

You have to watch The Americans to get this one. And if you haven't caught up with The Americans then what are you doing wasting your time on this stinking jingle!? Best listened to on the headphones of your Sony Walkman.

Sometimes I think of all the
RBIs, of all the
Dingers I had driven into the upper deck last year
Now no one cares
Except Boras there
Who says if I play my cards right
Pretty soon they’ll measure me for pinstripes.

Trotted to first base
Now I’ll run away
While Papelbon’s relievin’
My Adam’s apple has no feelin'
Take my MVP with me and walk!!
Papelbon (oh oh oh)
Papelbon

Don't touch me, please
I cannot stand the way you Squeeze!
Don’t tell me not to make a fuss
Think of how Philip left that guy on the bus
Papelbon (oh oh oh)
Papelbon (oh oh oh)
Choke me baby, Papelbon (oh oh oh)
Papelbon (oh oh oh)

Great job. I want to be Margo Martindale's BFF. Loved her in Justified too.

I'm with Rob that he needs to watch this show, I'm with John on the euphemism so that means I'm with Jason on both as well. I'm with Brad on the jingle because it's fantastic. And totally inside. Even down to the song they were playing during the bus scene. So I guess I'm with John on that too. And EPCOT replaces "hiking the Appalachian trail" for sure.

100% agree - to Rob needing to watch this show and with John on the euphemism.

Jason, I think "going to EPCOT" is my new favorite euphemism - for almost anything!

This is a brilliant mix of stuff, put together in such an amazing way that it seems like these things were made just to have this jingle exist. One way or the other, someone is going to Epcot this season... both in the show and on the Nats.

Rob, lets just say there are levels of appreciation that are enhanced by one's grasp of Soviet methods of assassination. Yeah, grasped.

So funny. Can't wait for baseball season, and the continued disgust from TK regarding "The Choker".

I really thought I understood this jingle, but I don't yet watch The Americans. am I wrong? should I NOT think the Adam's Apple line is hilarious? and the squeeze line. I'm confused.

Pastor Tim, #1 with a bullet! Actually, dodging a bullet. Until the antibiotics kick in. Who said anything about chicken?

This is so sneaky and 'inside' - I love it! And I don't mean 'inside baseball' 'inside'. I'm talking Martha in the FBI's Washington Field Office 'inside'. I'm talking sneakier than two sexy sleeper agents trying to take down the republic 'sneaky'. I'm convinced the next time I listen to it, there will be a Margo Martindale cameo - but then that'll disappear. Or did that already happen? Wait, I need to rewind a bit, I must have missed something. I'm going to stay tuned for a preview of what comes next on TK Jingles....
