Lyrics

Written and PRESENTED IN STUDIO! by Lt Col Carroll Connelley, USMC. Nice job outta you!

"Someday Never Comes"

First thing I remember was askin' Tony, "Why?"
For there were many emails I had sent
And TK always growled and said there just wasn’t time
Sayin', "I’ll read yours next time"

Well, I'm here to tell you Littles that the jingle ran too long
You better make ‘em short, you better make ‘em fun
'Cause, "next time" never comes

Well, the jingles grew and grew and my faxes collected dust,
For there were many emails that never aired
When TK took the mic, he said, "hey, yeah, do wear white”
And, next time never comes

Well, I'm here to tell you Little's, that your email was too long
You better make 'em short, and you better make 'em fun
'Cause next time never comes

Awesome idea and great vocal by John. Collaborations are my favorite thing to come out of the jingles. Looking forward to hearing the live studio part of this on the podcast later today. And I love that in studio picture - with what appeared to be Tony's coffee cup wrapped up in plastic.

I was a bit afraid as I knew there were not going to be a lot of laugh out loud lines... It was more of a "thought piece" - if that is possible. Definitely great and to get to follow up with an email that I could engage with the gang on the mic was awesome! Cannot wait to see emailers and jinglers alike in a few weeks. Looking forward to more collaborations - hope JF and one day Jerry. But, we were always the first - thanks KJ.

Great performance - as always - John! Such great and true lyrics here, Carroll. Congrats on your studio visit today! That's exciting in and of itself but there's nothing quite like watching them listen to your jingle. Yes!

As always, John Fitzpatrick is great and has brought my lyrics to life. We hope to be the next Rodgers and Hammerstein. This one is for all of those e-mailers out there that get pushed to hour three because their brillance cannot be contained to the contents of their pocket or because someone decides to sing The Dark of Uranus.
